Alex Hitchcock Quartet

Described by Jazzwise as part of ‘the shape of jazz to come’, saxophonist Hitchcock is joined by three of the UK’s most acclaimed improvising musicians. The group won the prestigious Peter Whittingham Jazz Award in 2018 and plays original music that is firmly rooted in the jazz tradition, but the powerhouse rhythm section is unafraid to take the music in bold new directions. Expect driving swing as well as propulsive grooves and virtuosic soloing.
